Competitor Parking-Important, please read!

All competitors must enter The Park in the following manner.  Go to the intersection of 12th and Harrison.  Go south on 12th to the entrance of the Park.  A Grand Prix official will direct you from there to your pit spot.  Under no circumstance should you park your truck/trailer/tow vehicle without the supervision of the Grand Prix team.  Tow vehicles will need to be disconnected and parked on the far west side of the pit area.  Again, the Grand Prix team will direct you.  You will have access to the vehicle but we don’t have room to let it stay connected.  Due to the nature of the circuit, competitors will not be allowed to remove trailers until the conclusion of the races on Sunday.

GENERAL RULES:

1. The race committee reserves the right to combine classes or change the laps in an event.

2. NO TIRE REQUIREMENTS “RUN WHAT YOU BRUNG”.  Tire Prep not allowed.  Tires will be marked after qualifying in all classes and those will be the tires that you race on.

3. Camping in the Park is OK but there are no sanitary, water hookups, showers or rest rooms.

4. TRANSPONDERS ARE MANDATORY FOR ALL SESSIONS. RENTAL TRANSPONDERS AVAILABLE.

5. Race order will be determined when we see the entries. Although not guaranteed, the race

committee will strive to make sure no one has back to back races.

6. STARTING POSITIONS: The previous historical method of determining starting positions for the

Quincy Grand Prix had been by draw. In the spirit of safety, the committee has decided to use a

hybrid form. Qualifying will be done in practice and then the competitors will be split into three

groups based on their qualifying times, top 1/3, middle 1/3, bottom 1/3. The race committee

will then draw the starting position for each driver in the group. All drivers are welcome to

attend the drawing.

Example: 30 entries are in the class. Qualifying times 1‐10 will have their starting position

drawn for positions 1 through 10. Qualifying times 11‐20 will have their starting position drawn

for positions 11 through 20. Qualifying times 21‐30 will have their starting position drawn for

positions 21 through 30.

7. All Vintage karts are welcome including twins and 4‐cycle flatheads. VKA guidelines. We will

break up into more classes if the entries exceed 40 entries.

8. The race will be run rain or shine.
